Coaches Comments:
What an incredible feeling it is for our team to walk into a season a face a great opponent and deliver the level of play that we want to exude the entire season. These girls have put in a tremendous amount of work in the off-season and now watching it come together at tonight’s double header should make them all feel very proud. Rylee pitched a phenomenal game and her 9 strikeouts were against a good hitting team that she worked over in pitch sequence and spin pitches. Her pitch placement allowed us to end the game 11-0. Carly and Tori buttoned up the second game not allowing a run to finish our game 25-0. Addie caught two solid games, held the runners in place, and then threw out two out of two runners in game two.
Offensively we ended the evening with a combination of 34 hits, 7 doubles, 4 triples, and two Home Runs. The girls remained aggressive at the plate throughout the night and showed tremendous discipline.
Beyond great stat lines, we also had girls communicating, encouraging one another, and working together as a team. We are extremely proud of the team and look forward to facing Morrice next Monday, and then opening our conference competition with Bath next Thursday.
