Three different seniors recorded fastest pins for the raiders, Branson Goodman had the fastest pin against Belding recording it in :50, Deakin Guidi had the fastest pin against Lakewood recording it in :33, and John Dodson had the fastest pin against Ionia and on the day recording his fall in just :20.
In total, 11 wrestlers of the Junior varsity and varsity squads went undefeated on the day: Andrew Feldpausch, Jake Olson, Connor Gleason, Ethan Webert, Drew Miller, Isaiah Pelc, John Dodson, Deakin Guidi, Sawyer Goodman, Lorenz Fernandez-Gruber and Brad Meyers.
Coach Andy Pulling was pleased with the competition and his team’s performance, stating, “Our focus on the day was pretty straightforward; get to our positions and while in them, wrestle tough. We did just that, winning situations we’ve been focusing on in the practice room. We had strong competition all day and our guys came together in outstanding fashion. I’m very proud of this group and who they choose to be day-in and day-out.”
