After the Montague game, Portland Head Coach John Novara said of Luxmore, “Madi is a great girl. We don’t even look at her as a girl, we look at her as a teammate. She does everything that we do. She works so hard. She does all the drills in the summer, in the preseason, in practice. She has been a great kid for us. She is a great leader and it was a great night for her tonight. She is a great kicker. We are happy to have her on the team.”
When asked about her accomplishment, Luxmore said, “It feels absolutely amazing to be part of such a great program and just to be able to contribute to the team. “
As for being the go-to kicker for Portland this year, Luxmore said, “It feels pretty amazing. I feel honored to be able to be the kicker. I had a wonderful time training under other kickers, learning form them and developing.”
After high school, Luxmore plans on attending Houghton College in New York. At Houghton she will play soccer on an academic scholarship.
