The Downtown Development Authority (DDA) for the City of Portland is hoping to break ground in late spring of next year to bring several improvements to Toan Park, including a water splash-pad.

DDA Director Tina Conner-Wellman told the City Council on Monday night that final details are being worked on, including design and budget, by the DDA during the next month or so.  The final plan will require City Council approval.

The improvements promise to make the park a major draw to an increasingly vibrant downtown area.  Toan Park is perhaps the most visible park in the City of Portland’s public park system.
