People are asking, “Hey Portland, what’s going on at the Goodwill Building?” The Portland Community Fund Association (PCFA) is using the building for their Christmas Giving Program from November 19-December 17th. You may see a lot of action going on inside, it is just “Neighbors Helping Neighbors”.

A big thank you goes to Goodwill of Grand Rapids for letting the PCFA use their building. The Community Fund is grateful for the extra space the building provides and for not having to move to another building for the Christmas Give-Away on December 16th!

Food donation bags are available at most of the churches in town, Westwood and Oakwood schools, City Hall, Tom’s Food Center, the Library, Independent Bank, PFCU, HomeWorks Tri- County, Studio 176, Health Source Physical Therapy, Family Farm Home, and K-13 Physical Therapy. We ask that all food donations be returned by December 9th.

Christmas trees with gift tags are available at the following places: Congregational, Epic, Methodist, St. Andrew and St Patrick’s churches, Independent Bank and HomeWorks Tri-County. All unwrapped gifts should be returned by December 13th. Please be sure to attach the ID card to the gift or bag.

Last year the Christmas Giving program helped over 110 families with food to make a Christmas dinner and gifts for kids 18 and under. If you have any questions feel free to contact Lisa Balderson at 517-930-1651 or Julie Dumas at 517-719-2514.

Monetary donations may be sent to PCFA at PO Box 524, Portland, MI 48875
