Obituary for Dora Leila (Rogers) Shultz
Dora Leila (Rogers) Shultz (86) of Lansing, passed away on Thursday April 4, 2024 in Mt. Pleasant at Woodland Hospice House.
She was born on June 14, 1937 in Portland MI, to Clarence and Noran (Smith) Rogers. Dora was retired from General Motors where she worked as a line worker and data entry operator. After her retirement she found great enjoyment in quilting as well as knitting, weaving and putting puzzles together. Her greatest loves were her four daughters, two grandsons, and four great-grandchildren.
Dora is survived by three daughters Janette (Craig) Calvert of Chicago, Patricia (Rex) Hackett of Barryton and Sandra (Monnie) Dunn of Lansing along with Grandsons, Jeffrey (Lisa) Sonday of Alto, Tim Sonday of Portland and Great-Grandchildren Evan, Kylie, Lydia and Connor, as well as many of what she considered her adopted children. Special friends: Betty, Teresa, Carla and Tina. She is also survived by her brother, Walter Rogers and her cousin (more like sister) Nancy Lee Pryer and other cousins, nieces and nephews.
Dora was preceded in death by her parents, husband (Warren Shultz), sister (Maryann LeFever), brother (John Rogers) and daughter (Cynthia (Shultz) Sonday).
Please join the family for a Celebration of Life Friday, June 14th at 10:30 AM at the Danby Cemetery followed by luncheon at the Portland VFW hall.
