Obituary for Delores Ann (Bennett) VanAmburg

Delores Ann VanAmburg, 85, of Portland, Michigan, passed July 12, 2025.

 

Delores was born to Orvil and Doris Bennett, June 22, 1940, in Marlow, Oklahoma. She graduated high school from Sterling, Oklahoma in 1958. She married Frederick VanAmburg on May 19, 1958, celebrating 67 years this past spring. They raised three children and lived happily together in Eagle, Michigan on the family farm.

 

She leaves as her legacy three children: Beth Dean (Darrel), Stanley VanAmburg (Doris), Gwen Leal (Tony); Grandchildren: Reeva DelReal (Jose), LeAnn Parson (Ian SerVaas), Nathaneal Dean (Eunhye), Victoria Johnson (Jeffrey), Laura Powers (Daniel), Sarah Evans (Skyler), Caleb VanAmburg (Brandy),

Zachary VanAmburg; Great Grand Children: Emma DelReal, Grace Dean, Kai Dean, Isabella Powers, Abigail Powers, Genevieve Powers, Katherina Powers, Frederick VanAmburg, Eliza VanAmburg.

 

She was preceded in death by Orvil Bennett, (Father), and Doris Bennett, (Mother). Delores was a teacher’s aide until she retired in 1992 working in Beekman Center and Grand Ledge Middle School and was passionate about affecting the most positive change in the students she worked with. Raising her family and traveling with Fred were the joys of her life as well as serving in her church.

 

They embarked on an adventurous lifestyle of travel across the US, with over 35 trips to Alaska to vacation, hunt and visit family. She enjoyed playing games with her family, canning, sewing, painting and knitting.

 

A Celebration of Life is scheduled for July 31, 2025, 11:00 am at Portland Church of the Nazarene. A luncheon will follow. The family requests that donations be made to Portland Church of the Nazarene or Hospice of Michigan. Online condolences may be made at www.lehmanfuneralhomes.com.

I’ve tried https://royalwriter.co.uk/assessment-help a couple of times now. It’s not something I use all the time, but when multiple deadlines hit at once, it’s been handy.
