Longtime PHS wrestling coach to be recognized

Mark Holdren, the longtime coach of the Portland High School wrestling team, will be recognized with a Lifetime Service to Wrestling award by the Michigan Chapter of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame. 

 

The group will honor Holdren and others in Ann Arbor on May 19th.

 

Other Lifetime Service to Wrestling honorees in the 2024 class include:

Donald Rinehart

Mike DeGain

Murray Rose

Shawn Murray

Todd Cheney

 

Lifetime Service to Wrestling award is given in recognition of 20 years or more of dedication to the development of leadership and citizenship in the youth through the sport of wrestling.

 

The Michigan Chapter of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame is dedicated to preserving the history of Michigan wrestling, recognizing excellence and inspiring generations.  You can learn more about the organization HERE.
