Lola Mull having strong sophomore season at Northwestern University

Portland resident and Grand Ledge High School graduate Lola Mull has seen great success in her second-year swimming for the Northwestern University Women's Swimming and Diving team.

The Wildcats competed this past week at the Big Ten Championships in Madison, WI, where they took 5th as a team.

Individually, Mull took silver in the 500-yard freestyle with a school record time of 4:39.03 (NCAA B cut). She again took silver in the 1650-yard freestyle with a school record and NCAA "A" cut time of 15:51.38.

Mull was also a part of the school record 800 freestyle relay which took 5th with a 7:04.60 (NCAA provisional cut) and was also named to the all Big Ten 2nd team.
