Coaches Comments:

SO MANY positives to take away tonight. First and foremost we were able to honor St. Patrick’s first state title team which happened to be the 1981 Girls Softball title. On their 40th anniversary we held a reunion and honored their team, and it was nothing short of amazing. Secondly, we honored our only senior Aurora Beckhold at her last home regular season game. Aurora is an amazing leader, friend, softball player and all around person. We are tremendously proud of all that she is and all that she’s about to accomplish! Finally, we welcomed back Rylee Scheurer and Laynie Meredith from two tough injuries that drastically altered their seasons. Tonight was a feel good in every single way... “the past, the present, the future”.... Two solid wins. Two leaders pitching. One senior honored. And one historic event pulled back into the spotlight. Proud to be a Shamrock!

St. Patrick Varsity Softball traveled to Mt. Pleasant Sacred Heart last weekend for their annual softball tournament. St. Patrick faced Farwell where they won the game 10-7. In the final game against Mt. Pleasant Sacred Heart the Shamrocks lost 2-17. Carly Scheurer led the Shamrock offense going 2 for 4 with a triple in game one and going 1 for 1 in game 2. Emma Honsowitz ended game one going 2 for 4 with 2 RBIs in game one and 2 RBIs in game 2. Aurora Beckhold went 3 for 3 with 3 RBI's in game 1 and Mara Schrauben went 2 for 4 with 2 RBIs in game 1.

Coaches Comments:

We came in, kept our momentum from game one into game two and cleaned up some important aspects of our offense. Tori and Carly gave us their best effort and it showed with the shutout scores. We are so proud of the work the girls have done and the team aspect they approach each game with.
