Annual Festival of Tables set for February 28th

The Annual Festival of Tables is a fun event that benefits our community and celebrates friendship around the table. This event is a fundraiser for the Portland Area Ministerial Association (PAMA). The funds raised go into the Compassion Fund that helps local families in need. These funds help with rent, utilities, gas cards and more. Each year PAMA helps over 100 families avoid eviction or utility shutoff. The event is centered around hostesses decorating a table in a theme of their choice and then inviting friends to join them. The creativity of our hostesses is so fun to see. Tickets to this event are $18 per person and include a catered lunch by Taste of Heaven Catering, as well as an inspirational speaker and door prizes! There are also tons of items available for silent auction. Tickets can be purchased at these churches: Epic Church, St. Pat’s or the Portland Church of the Nazarene. You can also find the event on Facebook for more details. All proceeds from this event go to the Compassion Fund. Organizer Melanie Pierce said, “I remember the first time I attended this event not sure of what to expect. It was so much fun to walk around and see all the different table themes - from the simple and elegant to the fun and creative. It is also so much fun to just sit around a table with friends to enjoy each other’s company, a delicious lunch and the speaker. If you’ve never attended before, I encourage you to give it a try no matter your age. It’s fun for all ages!”
