Wrestling States: Day 1 Recap for Portland Wrestlers

Seven Portland High School wrestlers traveled to Ford Field in Detroit on Friday for the first day of individual states.

Caiden Pelc advances to day two with a record of 2-1 and is guaranteed at least an 8th place finish. Trent Trierweiler, Isaiah Pelc and Dillon Vroman went 1-2 on the day. Jared Thelen, Marty Thelen and Branson Goodman went 0-2. With two loses, these wrestlers will not advance to day two.
