It is that time of year again. As our daylight hours slowly increase, it is time once again to “Spring Ahead” on our clocks.

Daylight savings time officials starts this Sunday, Mar 8th. If you are still awake at 2:00 AM, and if you still have clocks in your house that require manual updates, you should change your clocks to read 3:00 AM at that time.

While this change may not feel so easy on Monday morning when you start your daily routine, we will at least start seeing more light in the evening.

Our friends at the Portland Fire Department also want to remind you that this is the perfect time to change the batteries in your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.

The image below from NHCOA provides some great information on the importance of smoke detectors in your home.
