Bath stings Shamrock boys
On Friday, February 14th, the Bees from Bath visited Portland for a game against the Shamrocks. The Shamrocks won the first quarter, but were unable to compete and lost the contest 63-48.
In the first quarter the Shamrocks came out strong and outscored the Bees 17-15. Connor Cross led the Shamrocks with 9 points, and Ryan Lay chipped in 5.
In the second quarter Bath dominated the Shamrocks defensively, and won the quarter 18-6. Ryan Lay had all 6 points for the Shamrocks, and St. Patrick went into halftime down 33-23.
The Bees continued to surge ahead in the third quarter, extending their lead and winning the quarter 18-10 and taking a 51-33 lead going into the final quarter.
In the fourth quarter the Shamrocks came back against the Bees second team, but Bath was able to hold on for the win. St. Patrick's won the quarter 15-12.
Offensive leaders for St. Patrick were Connor Cross with 13 points and 11 rebounds, and Ryan Lay with 13 points and 8 rebounds. Tyler Coyne also had 7 points 5 rebounds 4 assists and 2 steals.
St. Patrick plays next Wednesday, February 19th at Potterville.
