Lady Raiders Top Sexton

The Portland High School girls basketball team traveled to Lansing Sexton on Friday night. The Lady Raiders put up a dominating performance, beating the Big Reds 61-22.

Portland’s Ashley Bower led all scorers with 22 points. Ava Gruber and Grace Clark each scored eight points for the Raiders.

Bryanna Young led the Big Reds with 10 points.

With the win, the Lady Raiders improve to 15-1 overall, 7-0 in the CAAC White.

Portland’s next contest is on Tuesday night when they travel to Grand Ledge. The Comets are 7-8 overall, 4-4 in the CAAC Blue. On Friday night then Lady Raiders will return home to face the Cougars of Lansing Catholic who are 10-5 overall, 4-3 in the CAAC White.
