Portland’s Mitchell Mallek to Play in Addix All-Star Football Game

Mitchell Mallek of Portland high school will be playing in this Friday's Addix All-Star Football Game. Sponsored by Addix, a Lowell based sports apparel manufacturer, the game is this Friday, June 7th, at Hope College. Kick off is at 7:00 PM.

All proceeds from the game go directly to Gilda's Club Grand Rapids, whose mission is t provide “free emotional healthcare to children, adults, families, and friends on any kind of cancer journey or those grieving the death of someone in their life due to any cause.”

The 5’ 7” 160-pound Mallek played corner back and running back for the Raider varsity team the past two seasons. In his senior season he was named a team captain and received all conference, all state, and dream team honors. In his time at PHS, he was also a member of the baseball and basketball programs.

Mallek will play football at Adrian College next year. He expects to play high safety or outside linebacker for the Bulldogs.
