Lady Raider Soccer Headed to District Championship Game

Portland Girls Varsity Soccer opened playoff play with an 8-0 win over Perry in the District Semi Finals on Tuesday. The Raiders were able to capitalize on multiple scoring opportunities in the first half and kept the ball on the Ramblers own side of the field for most of the game. Moving the ball with ease, the Raiders were able to get the ball in front of the goal on numerous crosses and into the net. Goals were scored by Ashley Bower (3), Mariah Fedewa (2), Logan Wezensky, Katelyn Stanton and Hannah Gruber. The Varsity Soccer team will advance to the District Finals and will play Thursday at 6:00 PM against Williamston at Lansing Catholic High School.
