Portland’s Evan Warner Signs to Bowl at Olivet College
PHS senior Evan Warner has signed with Olivet College to pursue both his bowling and academic careers at the school.
Warner told the Beacon that he choose Olivet, “because of their small class sizes and more one on one with the Professors. It was a bonus that Coach Jackson wanted me to be a part of his bowling program.” He said, “I plan on getting my bachelors in information technology and my associates in computer science.”
Located in Olivet, MI, and founded in 1844, Olivet College is a has an enrollment 1,040. The Comets home bowling venue is Char-Lanes in Charlotte.
Warner added, “If it wasn’t for my parents, Grandpa Warner, Coach Armour, Coach Whitford, and Coach Platte, my dream of bowling for college wouldn’t be coming true.”
