A little history of Buddy Poppy.

"The oldest and the most historically significant program is the VFW "Buddy Poppy" program. Adopted in 1922, as the official memorial flower of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States, as if remains today. Buddy poppies are assembled by disabled and needy veterans who would be paid for their work to provide them with financial assistance. Donations from the public toward Buddy Poppy distribution goes directly into the Veterans Relief fund at Post 4090 as directed by the VFW National By-Laws."
