Grant Werner Named PHS Raider of the Week

Portland High School is pleased to announce this week’s recipient of the “Raider of the Week” award:

Name: Grant Werner

Grade: 12

Parents: Heath and Jenny Werner

Activities: Grant participated with the Raider football and baseball teams throughout high school. He is a member of our National Honor Society and Captain’s Club. He volunteers his time as an alter server at St. Patrick’s Church, as a Jr. Raider assistant coach, and as a little league umpire.

Post-High School Plans: After graduating from high school, Grant plans to work at ESI Heating and Cooling and attend Lansing Community College to study HVAC.

Award: In recognition of being selected as “Raider of the Week” at Portland High School, Grant is awarded one 9”/1-item pizza from The Pizza Shop courtesy of Dawn and Tom Hodge and will receive a plaque from S&K Trophies courtesy of Lynn and Dan Babbitt.
