Raiders Golf Team Trails Lansing Catholic by Four Points in CAAC White Standings
Played at Lansing Sexton’s home golf course, Royal Scot in Lansing, Lansing Catholic took a seven stroke edge over Portland 168 to 175 to capture first place at yesterday’s CAAC White Division jamboree. The Raiders rebounded from their struggles at Tuesday jamboree to add a little more to their hold on their possession of second place in the division. Earning their second, second place finish at the half way point of divisional jamborees, the Raiders trail divisional leading Lansing Catholic by four team points. Ionia shot a 185 to finish in third place. Charlotte ended in fourth place with 190. Lansing Sexton came in at sixth.
Scoring for the Raiders was: Zach Pier carded a solid three-over par performance with a 39; Ethan Getchell shot a six-over 43; CJ Miller finished with a 46 and Jared Thomas rounded out the Portland team scoring with a 47.

The varsity will play in tomorrow’s rescheduled Larry Judson Eighteen-Hole Scramble at Glenbriar Golf Course in Perry. Then on Saturday, the Raiders will return to the Glenbriar Golf Course again to compete in the Eighteen-Hole Dick’s Sporting Goods Tournament.
