Both JV and Varsity Portland Girls Soccer started the season out with wins on Tuesday over Lansing Eastern.
The JV Girls started play yesterday with a solid 3-0 lead at halftime. They continued to press hard in the second half and finished with a 7-0 win. Goals were scored by Hannah Schrauben (4 goals), Alayna Goodman (2 goals) and Lexi Taylor with a goal.
Varsity took the field afterwards and started play strong as well with a solid 4-0 led at half. The ladies were able to control the game keeping the ball on the Quakers own half for most of the second half. Varsity girls finished the game with a 7-0 win as well. Goals were scored by Mariah Fedewa (2), Maelynn Huhn (2), Mckayln Zigler (2) and Hannah Gruber with a goal.
The Raiders will continue play after Spring break with their first home game on April 9th against local rival Lakewood.
