Obituary for Alan John Meyers

On Saturday March 23, 2019, Alan Meyers, age 31, devoted son, brother, grandson, and uncle, passed away unexpectedly in Eagle, Michigan.

He was born on December 28, 1987 in Ionia, Michigan to LeeAnn Shattuck and John Meyers. He was raised in Portland where he graduated from Portland High School. Alan was a hard worker, eager to learn or teach at any opportunity, he quickly earned the respect and loyalty of co-workers and bosses alike. He is survived by his parents, LeeAnn Shattuck and John Meyers; sister, Ashley Meyers; niece, Alivia Sweet; and grandparents, Roselyn and Charles Meyers. Preceding him in death are his grandparents, Germaine and William Shattuck and Ramona Dickinson.

The family will receive friends on Friday, March 29, 2019 from 6-8 p.m. and again on Saturday from 2-3 p.m. at the Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge Street, Portland. A time to share memories will begin at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home for anyone who would like to tell a story or reminisce about their special times with Alan. Alan would not want anyone to feel uncomfortable when coming to visit, please dress as you wish in casual attire when attending.
