Portland High School Bowling Individual Regional Results

Portland had the opportunity to have six boys and six girls compete against 98 boys and 92 girls. They needed to get in to the top 10 to have the opportunity to bowl next weekend for a state championship. Girls results:

Coach Joe Whitford said, “This is probably the best showing Portland has had in years. All 6 had a very good shot to make it into the top 10 out of 92 bowlers. We are proud of all of them.” Boys results:

Jarod Huhn 68th Coach William Armour III said, “The lane conditions were the toughest we have seen all year. Very proud of the way each of the boys kept their wits about them adjusting and adapting the whole day. At the end we should’ve had more qualified, but I’m still very proud of them.” The next action for Portland is team event for both boys and girls on Friday and for the three that were in the top 10 individually bowling on Saturday at Northway Lanes in Muskegon.
