Portland Youth Baseball Registration is Now Open
Registration is now open for Portland Youth Baseball for the 2019 season.
There will be no in person registration this year. All registrations will be done online. A registration flyer will be sent this week to all schools with potential players in the league. Please check the Friday folders for this information.
Current registered players/parents can use the online site to again register their player for 2019. Note you will need to update any information that has changed from last year including player sizes for uniforms, new email, phone, address, or add a participant to your account. (Any new players you may have.)
First time participants will have to go through the initial registration process to input all information for their player. (Must create a user name and password upon initial registration.)
Due to the league using a players ‘GRADE’ to define each division, it is possible that the player being registered may be eligible for multiple divisions. If you wind up with this scenario, select the division that matches your players current grade. This is a result of the Blue Sombrero website software programming which has been standardized and set up based on players’ ages and not grades to determine available divisions. Due to inconsistencies that can occur, in the age/grade matchup, if you have an issue with registration and are unsure or unable to register your player for the correct division feel free to contact a PYBB board member for assistance. New this year, PYBL will only accept electronic forms of payment. We will be eliminating the cash/check option for payment. There will be no mail registrations accepted this year.
It is strongly encouraged that registrations be completed as early as possible to minimize issues related to evaluations and the player draft process. There will be a $20 late fee for those that do not register prior to the ‘player evaluations’.
Registration will be closed 3 days prior to draft day.
Important Dates:
Player Evaluations: Saturday, March 9th and 16th at the Portland Middle or High School (Major, Minor, Pony League TBD)
Last Day to Register: Sunday March 24, 2019
Draft Day: Wednesday March 27, 2019
Notices regarding exact location of the Player Evaluations will be emailed and posted on the PYBB Blue Sombrero website as soon as the information becomes available. All other updates will be posted and emailed as well.
Again this year the Major League will be playing a schedule with area teams including: Lake Odessa, Clarksville, Maple Valley, and Hastings. Additional details will be posted online for those participants. Site Locations, addresses, field ID numbers, etc. will be posted and made available to all Major League participants.
