Shamrock girls lose to Bath

On Thursday, January 10th, the Shamrocks visited Bath for a contest with the Bees. The Shamrocks didn't bring their best game, and lost to the Bees 46-41.
The Bath defense was too much for the Shamrocks in the 1st quarter, leading the Bees to win the quarter 14-7.
The 2nd quarter was again won by Bath, with Bath leading 27-17 at halftime.
In the 3rd quarter, the Shamrocks played great defense, and won the quarter 9-7, with the Bees still maintaining a 34-26 lead heading into the 4th quarter.
The Shamrocks put together a valiant effort in the 4th quarter, but were unable to overcome the lead, winning the quarter 15-12, but losing the game.
Offensive leaders for the Shamrocks were Lydia Meredith with 12 points 4 steals 4 rebounds and 1 block, Katelyn Russell with 8 points 2 steals 3 rebounds 2 assists and 1 block, Mara Schrauben with 8 points 11 rebounds 2 steals and 1 assist, and Samee Teachworth with 7 points 8 rebounds and 4 steals.
Coach Al Schrauben was very disappointed with his team’s performance. "Disappointing loss, didn't play well."
The Shamrock girls host Potterville next Wednesday January 16th.
