Michael D. Turashoff Joins Beacon Contributor Team

The Portland Beacon is pleased to announce that Michael D. Turashoff has joined our team of contributing writers.

Originally from Detroit, Michael moved to the lovely little town of Portland in 2003, after living in Hastings for 7 years. Michael began his business of Marketing Content Creation and Social Media Marketing in 2008.

Michael has been a contributor to the Beacon since November of 2018. He is currently covering a wide variety of general interest topics within the community. However, his first love is history and he hopes to cover more subjects pertaining to the history of Portland and its community.

Michael has been providing content marketing creation and social media marketing through his business MDT Creative since 2008 where he supplies content for a wide variety of businesses covering many different industries.

Michael's goal is to provide the Portland community with news they can use and, in doing so, to bring the community closer together. One of his pet peeves has been how all the local news outlets claim to cover the news and community events in Portland, but in reality, only dedicate a small portion of their news coverage to the community, until he came across the Portland Beacon.
