Obituary for Elizabeth Pung
Elizabeth Pung of Portland, age 85, passed away on Friday, December 7, 2018 surrounded by her family. She was born on October 21, 1933 in Eagle, MI the daughter of Edward and Ethel (Hewson) Kransz. Elizabeth was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Westphalia. She enjoyed traveling and an occasional trip to the casino. Time she spent with her family was her greatest love. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Earl (Rosella) Kransz and Robert (Vida) Kransz; sister, Elaine (Donovan) Doxie; in-laws Richard Pung and Stanley (Iva) Pung. Surviving are her husband, Donald G. Pung; children James Pung of Houston, TX, Kenneth Pung of St. Johns, Debra (Thomas) Klein of Pewamo, Kathleen Sabin of St. Johns, Michael Pung of Portland, Ruth (William) Klein of Pewamo and Diane (Albert) Boyce of Carson City; many grandchildren and great granddaughter; sister-in-law, Rosemary Pung. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Eric Weber at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Westphalia. Rite of Committal will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. The family will receive friends 2- 4 and 6-8 p.m., Monday, December 10, 2018 at the St. Mary’s Parish Chapel in Westphalia. The rosaries will be prayed at 3 and 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary’s School in memory of Elizabeth. Arrangements are entrusted to Lehman Funeral Homes.
