At the November 12th Portland Public Schools Board of Education meeting, the architecture firm of Kingscott and Clark Construction Company delivered an update on the planning of several projects included in the first phase of improvements funded by the district’s recent voter approved bond extension. Many of these projects will start construction as soon as school ends in June, 2019.

All PPS buildings will receive secure vestibules allowing for added security in all buildings. Some of the vestibule construction will be paired with other modifications to school office/entry layouts.

This summer’s construction will also include repaving of all school building parking lots and drives, as well as substantial changes at Westwood, and Oakwood/Middle School. Both Westwood and Oakwood will see new and updated playground equipment, and outdoor athletic facility improvements at the high school will begin.

The full PowerPoint presentation will be posted on the district website soon, but the gallery below includes images of many of the slides.
