6th Annual Cemetery Walk Set for October 21st

The Portland Area Historical Society will hold their 6th annual Cemetery Walk on Sunday, October 21st, at 2:00 in the Portland Cemetery. Four members will be telling the stories of four past residents of Portland and nearby townships. People will learn about Portland's connection to the Green Mountain Boys, John Wilkes Booth and the notorious H.H. Holmes. They will also hear about the experiences of a local nurse who served at the front during WWI and those of an early settler in Orange Township.
