Frederick Condon Schulte

Portland – passed away on September 26, 2018. He was born July 31, 1925 in Lansing, MI to Fred and Nellie Schulte. Fred was an air cadet for the US Navy, received his bachelor degree in Agriculture and Forestry from MSU, house designer for 40 years with his own company – Custom Design, and was a founding member of St. Gerard’s parish.

He is survived by wife, Erna; children, Ann (David) Heath, Paul, Mary (Mark) Moyer, Teresa, Peter, Susan (Tom) Gibson, Steven (Kathy), and Patricia; 11 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. Fred was preceded in death by his son, Fritz and brother, Tom.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Portland Assisted Living & Memory Center and Grace Hospice for their wonderful care of Fred.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 29, 2018 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge St., Portland. The Funeral Service will be officiated by Rev. Dr. Marilyn V. Danielson at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral chapel. A private family interment will be held at St. Joseph Cemetery, Lansing.
