Shamrock Baseball Takes Two from Morrice
On Tuesday, the St. Patrick Shamrock baseball team traveled to Morrice to take on the Orioles in a non-league contest.
In the first game of the evening, the Shamrocks defeated the Orioles 12-0. Junior Nathan Lehnert led the Shamrocks at the plate going four for four with five RBIs. Sophomore Sam Mauren went two for three with three RBIs.
Lehnert also got the win on the mound in game one while he allowed only one hit in three innings, while striking out seven. Senior Will Simon pitched two innings and struck out five. Senior Cooper Diamond and junior Tanner Lawson also saw some time on the mound.
The Shamrocks won game two 11-0. Mauren and Lawson each went two for three at the plate.
Junior Brandon Scheurer got the win at the mound pitching three innings and striking out seven while only giving up two hits. Lawson pitched two innings and struck out four.
The Shamrocks will host the Pirates of Fulton in their next contest on Thursday, April 19th.
