Portland Garden Club 2018 Annual Geranium Sale Scheduled for May 12

Spring is here, and it’s time for the Portland Garden Club’s Annual Geranium Sale. Solid colors in red, white, light pink, dark pink, salmon, and variegated scarlet and white are available for pre-order. Pre-ordered plants sell for $2.00 each.

You can pre-order on forms available at many local businesses and the Portland Public Library now. You may also call in your order at (616) 299-8752, or order by email to bettynumb1@gmail.com. All pre-orders must be submitted by Tuesday, April 24.

The public sale will be held on Saturday, May 12, from 8:00 a.m.–12:00 noon in the garden of Two Rivers Counseling, 307 Kent Street (located on the corner of Kent and Academy) in Portland. Pre-ordered geraniums may be picked up on Thursday, May 10, between 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at the sale location, or on the day of the sale between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon. Geraniums will also be available for sale to the public on the evening of May 10. Any pre-orders still waiting at 10:00 a.m. on May 12 will go on sale to the public. The sale will run until 12:00 noon, or until all geraniums have been sold. The price for the geraniums purchased at the public sale will be $2.25.
