Dezirae Thomas Named PHS Raider of the Week

Portland High School is pleased to announce this week’s recipient of the “Raider of the Week” award.

Name: Dezirae Thomas

Grade: 12

Parents: Ken and Amy Thomas

Activities: Dezirae has participated with the Portland sideline and competitive cheerleading teams and the tennis team throughout high school. She is also a member of the Raider marching and concert bands and our Student Council. Dezirae is also a member of the PHS National Honor Society and volunteers at the VFW.

Post-High School Plans: After graduating from high school, Dezirae plans to attend Grand Valley State University to study health science in order to become a nurse.

Award: In recognition of being selected as “Raider of the Week” at Portland High School, Dezirae is awarded one 9”/1-item pizza from The Pizza Shop courtesy of Dawn and Tom Hodge and will receive a plaque from S&K Trophies courtesy of Lynn and Dan Babbitt.
