Six Months and 40,000 Site Visits Later

Today, February 22nd, is the six-month anniversary of The Portland Beacon. I posted the first two pieces back on August 22nd.

Since then, the site has posted 267 articles, releases and announcements, and has had 40,000 plus site visits.

I just wanted to take a moment to thank all those people who have supported the Beacon in these first six months, especially the donors and advertisers. Without your support, this local news source would not exist.

We have a lot of interesting people and many great things happening in this community, and I look forward to another six months of helping you learn more about them. With the continued support of readers, I believe this site has a bright future.
