The Portland High School girls bowling team defeated Waverly by score 21 ½ to 8 ½ at Royal the Scot in Lansing on Tuesday. Notable scores for the Raiders were:

Justin Nebbling 185 Boys coach William Armour III said, “Both Portland teams bettered their records in the CAAC Blue division. The boys moving to 7-1 the girls moving to 5-1.” Armour added, “The boys had a battle on their hands losing the first game to Waverley by 6 pins, coming back and winning the second game and both Baker games to win the match.”

As for the ladies, Armour said, “Portland’s girls team started off on fire winning their first game losing the second then winning both baker games to win the match.”
