Help Wanted - Contributing Writer

The Portland Beacon is searching for a contributing writer. The selected candidate will be an independent contractor and will be compensated on a per piece basis.

Volume of work may vary significantly from week to week, and will require prior approval from The Portland Beacon management. Initially this contributor will likely be writing one piece of content per week, with hopes of increased volume when supported by advertising revenue and/or reader contributions.

Strong writing skills and a commitment to covering stories accurately and fairly are required. This will be a very part time position, and could be an excellent fit for a retiree, college student, or someone who is looking for flexible part-time supplemental income. Additional commission based advertising sales opportunities may be available.
