Photographer Amy Guilford’s Favorite Raider Football Photos of 2017

Photographer Amy (AJ) Guilford has generously shared her photos of Portland Raider football with The Portland Beacon all season long.

Guilford is the mother of junior defensive lineman/slot back Owen Guilford.

As the season comes to an end, we asked her to take a moment and tell us what her favorite photos were of the 2017 season.

Guilford said, “Many people have commented that they feel badly that I cannot “watch” the game because I’m always taking photos. Although my view may be limited to a narrower focus, I believe it has provided me with a unique perspective to observe in a more intimate way. In the huddle, on the sidelines or after the play, I watch intently. While most others are talking or laughing I am observing to capture the emotion of the moment. Someday, after our boys have left home we will reflect back on these moments with fondness and sentiment. We may not remember individual plays but I believe we will always remember how these moments made us feel. These photos are a representation of what I have experienced this season and what I hope is instilled in my memory forever.”

The title before each photo is what that photo represents to the photographer.
